I ran into a sentence a couple of times that doesn’t make sense, stumped me a couple times. Without giving the whole thing away… planets HURL through space, not HURDLE.

Actually, the planets ‘hurtle’ through space. Something doesn’t ‘hurl’ unless it has been ‘hurled’ (thrown) by somebody/something else.
